I am still on a mission with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team in Training (TNT) to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. It’s been more than twelve years since I began raising money for this incredible cause and every step of the way has been a joy to be a part. Each year, my partner in fundraising, local artist & friend Leslie Gonce, designs
something new and beautiful. This year, my theme is BELIEVE. Believe in a cure. Believe as Jesus is written to have taught in John, Chapter 11. Leslie’s bright and fun abstract, hand-drawn BELIEVE artwork will be screenprinted on the front of all garments offered (blank on back).
As always, I am raising money that will go 100% toward this mission that has my heart and as of 2021 my fundraising efforts total well over $40,000! You have been an integral part of this feat—and I am believing that, together, we are able to continue to be a part of truly making a difference in the lives of blood cancer patients. The research and development that LLS takes part in is an integral part of improving and saving the lives of those diagnosed with blood cancer. Research sponsored by LLS has been the catalyst for effective treatment for a wide range of things, including Hodgkin’s disease, Lymphomas and breast and lung cancer.
I’ll be running in another event in early 2023 in honor of or in memory of all my loved ones and yours, too, that are currently battling, or have battled, any type of cancer. Your garment purchases will help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
