Before delving in to the specifics of the restoration, it seems appropriate to catalog some BEFORE pics of this particular bronco. As first generation Broncos go these days, ours was in pretty good shape when we acquired it….kept under a shed…very little rust.

C and I are really excited about keeping a log of the restoration process and want to stay as close to original as possible, except for the things we are modernizing for the sake of safety or drivability. I think you can never have enough photos and, still, I wish we had gotten even more BEFORE photos, but it is what it is!

As we have gotten further in to the restoration we’ve realized it would’ve come in very handy to have taken LOTS of detailed photos of the interior before we began disassembly. When we got ready to order interior items — like the carpet, seat covers, etc. — we quickly found we needed a point of reference. I found an awesome log of pics included on a listing for a ’73 so similar to ours that it was extremely helpful. Check it out for more detailed photos of what the Ranger package looked like on the interior: ’73 Bronco – Bring a Trailer

We’ll go from here to the engine rebuild…enjoy!

11.05.2019 – pick-up day || The Bronco lived here for quite some time and we are so thankful it was stored in a shed.
